Altima is an awful drive
Which is a shame, because everything else about the new Altima is gorgeous.

He's probably talking about CVT. Like I said In my earlier posts don't waste your time on copping a 3.5 in a altima looking for performance out of a CVT. The altima is more of a family cruiser nowWhat don't you like about it? My girl has a 2008 Altima that's easy as fukk to drive. Steering is a little light but it's got great throttle response, plenty of power, no real torque steer... Suspension is tight enough for it's purpose. Great for road trips.
Hate CVT's, Nissans cvt is tridash. Have you been on the nissan/sentra forums to see if there's an easy diy fix?Bumping this up. My girl copped a 2013 Sentra back in 2016 and sometime last year it started acting up. Now the thing is shot. RPM super high and its stuck at 20 mph. Out of warranty already so trying to get a goodwill going or keep rising the complaint as far up as we can. Cause at 95k thats crazy. Ive seen some pop at 30k and some even dying 2-3 times.
The CVT's from this era are terrible. Some claim replacing the tail light fixes it or replacing the fluid every 30k but idk.

this is what a lot of people miss. Even though the manufacturers claim a lifetime fluid in these trannies, you got to do maintenance on them if you want them to last. Modern transmissions are really only engineered to get you to about 100k with zero maintenance. The JATCO CVT really is garbage, but it will last with regular fluid changes. That 30k interval is the sweet spot...Bumping this up. My girl copped a 2013 Sentra back in 2016 and sometime last year it started acting up. Now the thing is shot. 350z doesn't have a cvt lolNot sure if it's the best, I had a 350z with the CVT in the past and had zero issues. Like, mean. At all.
Currently, have a dual clutch transmission in my Nissan... so it's always wet.
I mean it's nothing fancy... but i hate to run into tranny problems if they arise.
For my car, it may cost me more than i can afford.
