Anyone purchase an in car recording system (video/audio/gps etc)

I'm posting here as I expect more reasonable/adult responses. Don't think I have to go too in depth as to why this may be necessary. Suffice to say that for almost as long as I've been driving - at least once a year I am stopped by a cop for patently BS reasons - especially now that my work takes me into the suburbs of Chicago way more often than I would ever venture out there on my own. I have actually been stopped by the SAME cop, passing through the SAME intersection within 3 days (I took my car in for service and got stopped on way in. Went home in loaner. Came back the next Monday to pick up the car and got stopped on way back to the City.
