I remember catching it back in the day and not thinking much of it, watching it now with movies like the departed and others that sh1t was , (I didnt know that was Silver lion/Ryu as the fukinese dragons gang leader) I like how they made it to where only Dirty Cops survive in chinatown, The cinematography is piff And the music is I like how after the brothel shootout when dude is about to rough up the gang leader this hits

I liked it when I saw it in theaters in 98? 99? I was about 14. I've seen it since then and it's a pretty cliched, formulaic action/buddy cop, but competently acted and the soundtrack was dope as fukk. I think it was the same year 'The Negotiator' came out, there used to be a lot of cool little action/cop movies, or maybe there still is, and I don't like them anymore...but I think the late-mid 90's was a good time for these types of movies, action movies today have no grit, it's all gloss.
