they got fined 60M
lost scholarships
bowl bans
and the Reputation of the school is done, forever.

but i dont see how rooting for Penn State football means u support Sandusky or the shyt they tried to cover

They don't have to pay the fine. They raised more money than they ever did shortly after the scandal broke. They get their schollys back and the bit of sanctions they did go thru didn't hurt them at all. Then they hired a HC who or may not have covered up a rape at his last job. If this was Miami (hate to say it), they'd ban the school from even having intramurals

it was crazy, its like after the scandal i seen MORE cars with PSU stickers and stuff. like the revelation of years of protecting pedohilia made these nikkas even more proud of the institution

no you've just been more cognizant of it…we have one of the largest alumni bases in the country and graduate more students on a yearly basis than any other school

Didn't care about them before the scandal, kinda semi defended them after the sanctions (still believe it was a gross overstepping of authority by the NCAA) but still not enough to care and I don't now. Just find it cowardly on the NCAAs part to rescind the sanctions. My day don't stop because it happened

Would agree, they've served their time. But the chanting from the students regarding the Paterno statue last night was fukking bizarre...and I could see why it'd make an outsider feel a little uneasy about giving them football totally back.

The fact y'all continue to make this a "sports" issue or a "football" issue highlights how lame y'all really are.

This issue exposed a huge structural weakness within our institution. One of which, Graham Spanier, has thankfully been removed. No reason for me to get into the stories now, but there is a reason why cats on campus were calling for his head FIRST.

if michigan had a scandal like this i'm not alumni but i grew up in AA and used to work for the university so...idk what i'd do. I might just waive that EMU flag harder
