There is an A/V store south of Cleveland that sells B&W. I stopped in years back, they had some on display, was easily the most artistic high-end speakers I had ever saw. Sound was just :whoo::whew:, had me thinking about my struggle system I had at the time :mjcry:

I still want to hear a pair of Martin-Logan electrostatic speakers.

They are very well made and sound fukking GREAT. 20+ years old and still blow a lot of the new stuff out the water

Got some jamo 426s as my rears

And a 15 inch sonance sub that literally shakes the walls in my house if I turn it up past half way

Put it all together on a budget too. All Craigslist buys pretty much

Props on having the older equipment that still sounds great. A lot of the speakers companies that made great sounding speakers 15-20yrs ago aren't doing the same now. Some of them got bought out and consolidated, materials farmed out, and quality not the same.

You do know that Hi-Fi speakers haven't been technologically advanced since the mid-70s. The receiver is the thing that you should focus your money on before buying the speakers. You can get high-end speakers from the 80s or 90s for the fraction of the price and they'll sound sonically the same since there is only one standard way to make modern speakers. If the old speakers look outdated take them to a furniture store to get the wood refurbished. You would save yourself a fortune and spend less time on believing marketing.
