Never heard of it :jbhmm:

And naw, I'm not really holding, it only looked like that because I was laying down. I'm aiming for Ds.

They still looked good to me :ehh:

Seroquel is generally given to folks with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and the such..typically you don't get those types of reactions with ADHD meds.

We're typically not trained to mentor or to guide, our job is to probe and collect clues from your mind (mental state) by observation, conversational analysis and if needed..by testing levels of certain things in your body so that we can zero in on the issue, diagnose and then remedy.

You may find someone who is trained additionally in psychotherapy which teaches a more "cosy and bed side like" manner in dealing with patients but don't go expecting an in-depth and sincere connection with quacks. You might want to visit a therapist first, depending on their judgement they may then refer you to a psych if they feel your issues are beyond their skills.

you disabled people pm'ing you?

They don't help you change? If they try to make you find peace with it then I won't waste my time.

Therapy focuses more on natural techniques such as breathing exercises, focusing, meditation, ect. For long term effects they are your best bet. The only person that can change your mindset is yourself. Relying on pills will make you dependant and when you don't have access to those pills you'll feel like shyt. I'm not saying don't try a psychiatrist, you may need it but 9/10 they'll tell you to seek counseling as well. You have to get to the root of your depression to determine how serious it is.

Yeah, what's up brehs?

Want to ask you for advice since you're in that field, you may "expose" me but I don't care, it's pretty personal but I need advice.

Then it's a waste of time, that shyt won't work for me, I hear it's more for people with a issue here or there like a married guy not getting along with his wife but having fun with his kids and therapist will be like "Just spend more time with the kids".

That won't really work for me at all.

I ain't like that breh.

But I'm very careful on what I say though..I'll say this, I'd still say consult a therapist..they'd act as a filter, as in the event that they deem that you may need more in depth care and evaluation, they'll then refer you to a psych..the good thing is typically a case will already be assembled by the therapist so your doc will be aware of some of the problems right off the bat. That means a quicker diagnosis and honestly, better care.

Well going by your original post you said you need life advice and guidance. A therapist will do that, a psychiatrist will only see what will help and prescribe you something. Essentially you'll just have the pills but then you won't know how to prevent a relapse in your mood because no one taught you.

But he helped me realize and acknowledge the problems I was facing so I could find the solution on my own. And that at the end if day the only one who was gonna bring me outta depression was me :wow:

get some help brudda, it could help :blessed:

he wasn't my first therapist though so you may have to go through a couple to find the right one

Why are people so against taking medicine for depression and anxiety :mindblown:

If you're that depressed u should be doing everything possible to get better

man i took some depression medication for a couple weeks like ten years ago and the dr said it could cause erectile dysfunction and it didn't do it bc my shyt was too potent and overpowered the drugs.

You should try a mental health therapist. Like others have said, psychiatrists these days are more encouraged to just medicate than actually treat and help a patient talk through their problems. I think you're better off doing that first and then once you have a handle on your illness, you can seek medication to balance it with your behavioral training from your therapist.
