your stars are but dust on my shoes
J. Crew is pretty terrible. Its fairly good for what it is, a mall shop like AE or A&F, but they're trying to fool people into thinking they're more upscale than that. The fit on the men's clothing I've tried on from there were awful, and the prices were too high.

Also, never buy from their factory sales.

My whole wardrobe is basically J.Crew. Used to date a woman that was a manager there. Those $20 boxers, got about 20 pairs. Maybe 20 polos in all colors. 2 pairs of 501s in JC wash. Suede MacAllister boots. Couple other miscellaneous items. Had these clothes for years too btw and although broken in not showing any signs of real wear. Gotta get me one of those Ludlow suits next.

love J Crew. Galleria location and the outlet in cypress. :ohlawd: my husband gets most of his gear from there.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Between them and Banana Republic, I can't keep any disposable income as I stay fitted. Glad its disposable. :manny:

Jealous.

I love their clothes but them prices are quite steep.

They raised prices on most of their garments (shirts fetch you for 75 plus bones and their pants are 90-100, lowest).

When its on sale, you'll fetch a good deal but my sizes are usually the first to Get Gone like an Ideal single.

:whoa: No need to be jealous. Let me explain...

First, this brother never ever ever pays retail for any of their clothing.

Second, I'm on their respective mailing lists. Keeps me posted on any deals.

Third, I have a store card with points programs for each store. In some instances, additional savings are to be had simply by using it. Be responsible or you'll .

Fourth, check out shyt on "Final Sale" Clearance. Just cause its there, don't mean it ain't worth it.

Lastly, after an accumulation of purchases/ points, you may get a small kickback (i.e. $10 gift cert) towards future charges.

You will see over time that you are not purchasing as much because you are purchasing quality, timeless pieces. Not to say that you aren't currently.

Have several fits, but i have heard this 'complaint' the masquerading part mostly a few times...

I feel you.

Don't shop as much as i used to because i have a very simplistic/minimalist approach to fashion (this winter i'm rocking; a military-inspired jacket of some color or a casual blazer, hoodie, henley, slim fit selvedges and a pair of tennis shoes).

Most of the clothes i do look for i tell myself, "Can i wear this multiple times a week and will the style last last me a few years?"

I can't be rockin' shiit with a large horse embossment on the chest or a t-shirt with an ostentatious slogan such as, "Our Apparel Kicks Ass, So WEAR IT!"

The sales are always there and i need to take advantage of them if it weren't for my keen fixation on sneakerdom.

Appreciate the bit.

J.crew got the henley game on lock

Them shiits that Tom Cruise, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel or Collin Pharrell be wearing as of late in their movies.

Those joints kick ass when you have a muscular frame and a bulging chest - it's enough to get them nether regions moist. Duncan Hines.
