If so, ya'll ever been successful? I walk outside and see all manner of dude from dusty to dapper try to throw out their lines to random chicks passin by them, from "Hey ma!" to more elaborate stuff.
I've seen this all the time way before the whole "street harrassment" outrage, but I've never seen someone successfully bag a number just off that. Certainly, some thot fell for it one time, now all these broke nikkas with nothing going for them doin the same thing on the sidewalk hoping some shortie bites

I used to as a youngin and had a pretty decent success rate but now I only speak if there's 3 or more seconds of good solid eye contact
been doing it since i was in hs i thought this was standard
i got thrown out of a lot of malls when i was in hs cuz ppl would see me going up to every girl and then security would tell me i was harassing bytches and tell me to leave

you gotta remember you're talking to mostly insecure nerds. women are complex, mythical creatures to most cats that post hereLike 1 out of 3a lotta times when they not down they'll hit you with "I got a boyfriend" or "aw you're sweet but I don't give my number to strangers". So even when you get that L it doesn't feel like an L. But a lotta times they'll just give you the number. Girls don't really get approached like that in the street so there's a good chance you'll get it. I advise all my brehs to approach an attractive female they see. It's a numbers game.
