Man id rather be teaching math and shyt.

I'm in the house with my niece's. They're only 2 and 1. fukkin Peppa Pig and Coco Melon on 24/7

:unimpressed:

I’m really dreading that part if/when I have kids in the future, I cannot STAND most kids programming. I fw Max and Ruby cause the whole orphans and clumsy oaf bit crack me up, but Peppa, Paw Patrol, annoys me.

Don’t they teach them a different way of math now? I forget what it’s called but how we learned isn’t accepted anymore.
Yup. I tried to do math with him and I showed him my process for addition and he showed me what his teacher taught him. It was unnecessarily complicated.

Op, I’ve aborted the material they gave him and have ordered different material to help my son learn. In going over his school work I see so many gaps and holes in how they learn. Hell I watched this science video with him and we had to answer questions and we both were looking at each other like :dwillhuh:..... It went over my head. I emailed the teacher after—like this is what y’all are teaching second graders? I didn’t even understand. They’ve made everything overly complicated from addition to science. No wonder a lot of kids are lost. I’m having to use google to help teach him and that’s problematic to me. That’s why I had my sister do an assessment on him, and then threw away the packet they gave us and ordered activities and better learning material to help him develop the building blocks needed for next year.
