There should be other places. Research where you will be taking your test and see if they have any referrals

Didn't need it for the masters program. If I were getting a PhD tho :merchant:
GRE scores don't matter for stem PhD all they care is you have perfect quant which you should do in your sleep as a quant major

the other english shyts they don't give a fukk, they admit chinese students all day with terrible scores

Yeah.

Take a lot practice test, perhaps take calss for it.

Also, set aside at least a month to study for it.

How long did u study?
study? :lupe:

lol nah, i've been studying for the past couple months. I have a liberal arts background so my math skills are...wanting, to say the least. But I've just been going over basic algebra, trig and geometry. I'm pretty confident on the vocab and reading comprehension, but I'll probably do a quick once over for the next two days. I didn't know they give you a calculator, so that was a big load off my chest.

Take the online practice test, the actual test is exactly the same. Not the same exact questions, but it is the same format, same type of questions...etc.

Anyone?:mjcry:

I wanna take it maybe in the late spring. Im not good in math at all and the program im looking at requires atleast a 156 verbal and 146 quant. The scores seem low but I wanna know how hard the exam is amd how to prepare

I have some friends who have taken the GRE and I presume it is difficult since my friends are studying feverishly for it and they are Masters' students. The GRE is a standardized test. You depend on people like muse, who don't study hard enough, to raise your mark in turn. The more she fails, the more you succeed.

I advise you to do some Googling and look for practice as well as adaptive tests. You'll need a math GRE book too. Do as many tests as you need until you are able to consistently score where you want to score. The key is to understand why you get questions and to fix your thought process so that you are better able to answer the question next time.

I took it, wasn't that bad. Aside from the quant section it's not something you can really study for too much. The verbal section is mainly vocabulary which is impossible to study for. The analytical part is an essay which is also impossible to study for. There's a lot of free materials online so I don't necessarily think you need to pay for anything. My best advice is to take as much practice tests as you can to get used to the format and to brush up on your algebra and trig heavily.
