Anyone watching "Industry" on HBO?

First season of billions was exceptional thoughtful TV but much like game of thrones it became a victim of its own success and became a clown car by season 3

They def. lined Eric up with the passport, she wasn't 14 years old. He didn't know.

Last two episodes were a little clunky with exposition and some transitions that didn't always work, but still loved them.

About Yas, not sure she didn't purposefully sit them together, because moments before that scene, Kwam tells Harper something like "My friend went to school with her and said she's a sadist"

I give it to Industry over Succession, but that's just my preference. Industry got weirder and darker, and the music moved me more. The way it's shot, esp. the last two seasons, with the Mann influence. Succession is probably funnier.

Man I just watch the past Sunday’s episode and goddamn this show has evolved into its turd phase

Lame ass Harper goes to Paris and gets treated like a wet food stamp and 5 seconds later her breh in a glass box told her he was breaking off something that she didn’t think much of even though he actually cared about her — even though he’s one of like 3 black people to be on this show.

Meanwhile, Tender fell apart in literally one episode after they hyped it like it was Meta 2.0. They fuçked the storyline up.

And I’ll say it again — Yasmin and Harper can’t lead a show.

Industry started out as an elevated version of Skins, not a slight by any stretch but Succession is just a few levels above. Like Succession is a no doubt top 100 show of all time

succession is one of the GOAT HBO shows. it's right up there with the sopranos, the wire, boardwalk empire, thrones and curb your enthusiasm

Also the uncle kinda, mildly insinuated he’d only help her out if she were “family” i.e. she kinda had to marry Henry 🫠

Don’t get it twisted; they were as opportunistic as she was. They saw an attractive girl with the proper background, tainted by her father’s mess, who would most likely look past Henry’s issues because of her own. He was above her class-wise, but she was still acceptable because of her father’s status and wealth. He was educated with Henry’s elders. Because of that, she would do.

If she were some random, down on her luck chick with a heart of gold Henry would’ve slept with her, pontificated about his desire to work and do good things, and left money on the table for her troubles.

Yas’ problem was trying to cheer him up by pushing him into a new venture, when she should’ve been settling into being the lady of the house, learning whatever she needed to learn and pushing her husband into therapy and meds.
