I read this new book London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe, about a 19 year old falling from the balcony of a luxury high rise in London into the Thames. He had been pretending to be the son of a Russian oligarch, he was really from a well to do English family.

Keefe is a pretty well known journalist, I know his shyt, and he's referenced by the Jim Dyker character who says something like How long before Paddy Radden Keefe picks this up!? and later he shows up to interview Harper on the jet. That's him playing himself.

So I saw him at an event this week and said something about seeing him on Industry and how it was my favorite show, at the Q & A. He's also cool with the showrunners who incorporated a good amount of the book into the show. Rishi's fall for one, that had to influenced by the story of a kid falling from a luxury highrise. Harper's character is living in the same building the kid fell from. And the overdose death for another. They are also in talks to direct the movie adaptation by A24.
