it's a vintage skate magazine. It's the skating equivalent of "The Source"

Nah more like XXL. Thrasher is still heavy in the culture, if not the biggest.

As for all the hypebeasts and shyt, idgaf as long as they don't drive the prices up for the merch and start buying the shyt up. They sell Thrasher gear at Zumiez though so I doubt it'll end up like Supreme :pachaha:

Some of their shyt is fire though, I've always been a fan of the logo, same with spitfire. I get why people hopped onto it.

Thrasher isnt "vintage" they're probably the most relevant skate mag in the game today with a ton of exclusive web content. Non-skaters wearing thrasher is definitely some fukkboy hipster hypebeast shyt but they're definitely more relevant to skateboarders than The Source is to modern day hip hop

EDIT: just realized that dude above me said the same shyt :shaq2:

Ian can actually skate though.

I agree with the premise. I've been skateboarding for 26 years now. I have mad heads ask me if they can buy my thrasher shirts and hoodies and I'm like :martin: you know how long it took me to cop that?

Lol.

I still have all my old issues of Thrasher in my storage space in the basement of my building.

Posers have always existed even when I was doing it in the 90s. They aint going away. For every die hard that still fukks with skateboarding heavy there will be ten posers who like the fashion, style culture more.

But seriously, I think its dope more black folk and hood nikkas are hopping on that skateboard tip now.

My preferred skate outfit is a nice Yanks of Pirates snapback with a white t-shirt, levis 501s, and some vans or adidas sneaks. My style hasn't really changed much since the 90s. I do like to wear gold chains and jewelry when I skate to feel fly with a nice pair of kicks.

I aint really with this hipster/hypebeast era of skate fashion. I'm.from the old school. From when if you really fukked with Thrasher and skateboarding people automatically knew.

But whatever...
:yeshrug:
I don't want to sound old and jaded. I still skate hard.

People who skateboard for over 10, 15+ 20+ years are some of the most inspirational people on earth.

I'm 32. i wear what I want and look good and don't care about being seen or "hip" or whatever. I'm trying to skate.

I'll admit, I dress kind of like a teenager still at times. Like I can go into Zumiez and find something thats dope there but at the same time I could go into a place like Saint Laurent Paris and find something to wear. I've been rocking some of my old band tees from high school lately. And some of my 90s skate t-shirts. I've been wearing baggier clothes too.

But yeah, always nice to talk with the coli about skateboarding. One of the few things that keeps me young.
LOL.

Don't wear Thrasher but I hate when people say you can't wear so and so brand because you don't do this thing. That's like saying you can't wear Jordans if you don't hoop.
I like to skate in Jordan gear from time to time.

LOL.

But yo...even back when I started back in the day me and my friends were always about putting that little bit of hip hop into the skateboarding. Like we would skate and listen to hip hop like Jeru, Biggie, Nas, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Jay, etc on the boombox.

I've always thought the Aj1 phat low was one of the best shoes to skate in.

Yep. without them and TWS there is no modern skateboard magazine. Thrasher has been about skateboarding since day one first and foremost.

all these people buying shirts and hoodies are just putting more money into the magazine, and that's cool, because thrasher is dope.
