This has to be said :yeshrug:

You can rep ADOS and rep Pan Africanism at the same time. Only the media tricks us that they have to be separate or we have to choose

I'm prideful as fukk about my Ethnicity. I dare anyone to vilify me for repping Igbos and Biafra, and holding the flag... they'll get hit with the

tenor.gif

Anytime I hear someone say "That shyt is divisive" I know they have an ulterior motive

Reparations and Retribution would get in the way crumbs the CACs would give you

Ya'll scared that knowledge of self and retribution for one group takes food off your plate from your group

Ya'll don't realize Pan Africanism will never work unless all Ethnicities have resolved their Colonialism/Imperialism past

I see ADOS like any religion in principle it's goos but in practice people OD on it/misinterpret the point and THAT is where divisiveness comes in. Plus since ADOS has become more popular relatively recently some of the more notable people peddling it, definitely have ulterior motives for self and couple it with their own ambitions or objectives that actually work against black folk.

In principle I support both though, just wanna see skin folk that are also kin folk (foh c00ns) get right or at the least on the path to getting right

the tri-state
imo ados and fba will cause further friction based on the inequality we already deal with on an economic, monetary and social basis daily.

in theory it sounds great but the divisive nature of focusing on the A in ADOS seems faulty.

slavery is not just an American problem as slaves were shipped from multiple countries using multiple financiers.

nobody is gonna get the lloyds of london to pay anything when they currently own all the nba and music contracts here.

i am for reperations but i havent seen anything aside from the previous reperation cases to believe it would be accounted for properly

ADOS isn't a religion.

:unimpressed:

Also, just because we are skinfolk, doesn't mean we're kinfolk. I'm down with being cool with Africans, Caribbeans, etc. But I'm not with the "biting my tongue shyt, to make people feel comfortable with their own insecurities" situation.

I don't understand how ADOS is divisive when 9 out of 10 times people are standing up against bs. We saw the wave on here. 9 out of 10 threads about ADOS were created by non ADOS to be divisive but somehow ADOS is divisive.

One of the biggest problems have been non ADOS not minding their business and/or looking to insert themselves into the conversation. Who is really the problem? ADOS feels immigration is an issue, EVERYBODY from diaspora feels like it's an attack on them even though they make up a very low percentage. When it was about immigration it wasn't about them but they chose to make themselves apart of that buffer class. I hate when people act like ADOS comes out saying fukk all other black people. That's not true and you know it crabs

1) ADOS/FBA isn't divisive
2) we never said slavery was just an American problem.

See, you didn't listen to us, which is why you said what you said.

I know it's a movement/ideology, but I see it like a religion in the fact the the problems come from it's follows doing to much, but not the actual message/movement, might have phrased that poorly. And I addressed the skinfolk point clearly saying c00ns don't count

Its a very old and simple concept: black people should be compensated for the generations of stolen labor and discrimination.

There is no logical reason to oppose that. People who are African or Carribean in origin should absolutely be agitating for reparations from Europe and American black people should support this in any way they can just as Africans and Carribeans should support black Americans receiving compensation from the United States.

Its not even necessarily something that federal government needs to do, states can develop their own equalization plans.

Social media got most of yall fukked up. In the non digital space most people who are black are on the same page when it comes to compensation. Lot of Africans and Carribeans want justice for what they went through and have love and support for black Americans who want justice for what we've been thru. At the end of the day there is an understanding that a group of people have purposefully terrorized, stole from, and manipulated people who have significant melanin.

Yea, you did phrase it poorly because I don't see how claiming lineage is anything like claiming a religion.

And like I said, just because we're skinfolk, doesn't mean we're kinfolk. Some non-ADOS/FBA on here claim they're down with us, But when we post videos, tweets, etc. From people of their lineage talking down on us, they never defend us.
