anyway, I'm gonna play devil's advocate here

Anyone ever notice what position these retired players coaches come from??

the majority of these coaches are former lineman, qb's and a few LB's
you never see wr's or rb's as head coaches

plus how many plaers say they want to go in to coaching after playing??
most wanna try to get on tv and/or radio and be some kind of analyst or commentator

3 seasons.

They went from 1 extreme to the other 3-13 to 10-6 then back to 4-12. Even tho the Bucs ever since they won the SB have been consistently inconsistent. If they finished 7-9 or 8-8 he would of probably kept his job

Simple logic when you factor these in:

• Most coaches never played at pro level. So they have a head start in getting experience in the coaching domain.
• Black athletes been in professional leagues in great numbers for less than 50 years now. Drastic changes wont happen over night like that. Takes time but it WILL happen.
• Any type of integration, TECHNOLOGICAL or in this case SOCIAL ,takes time to implement. One culture has to learn about the tendencies of the other and there must be concessions/sacrifices made on both sides.

Sadly, this has a lot to do with it.

People who go into coaching, the good ones start real young. Look at guys like Belichik, he was coaching under Ted Marchibroda in 1975, at 23 years of age.

I think it's a lot of white guys who have the brain for the game but not necessarily the talent so they go into coaching right after college. This happens with black guys too like Dungy, Tomlin and Raheem Morris

after colorado fell the hell off jon embree finally gets a chance

once in a while a nikka like a turner gill, randy shanno, kevin sumlin will get a job at a big school but they don't even get 3-4 years before they are replaced,

everett withers got one year in north carolina wasn't even on a contract was paid by the month

larry porter got 2 years for crying out loud, didn't even get to see his damn recruits, now some cac coach will eat off them

This is wht I am saying as well. I remember Tee Martin went into coaching after his career and that nikka was stuck as a fukking quarterback coach at Clark Atlanta? I see a lot of you cacs and Toms are mad but it is what it is. You got some 29 year white kid who never played no serious ball telling David Garrard how to throw the ball. fukk out of here.
