As far as good restaurants it depends on your budget, if you tryna eat good for 15 or less then fukk with taco trucks and some Asian spots. Oakland got the best Mexican Food in the Bay hands down, especially where I'm from (Fruitvale). The Tacos El Gordo truck on High Street & International is :banderas::banderas:, it's in the hood though and it opens at 6 so you gotta be cool with pulling up at night lol. There's a lot of good Vietnamese and thai spots towards the bottom of Funktown (International Blvd between 5th Ave and 14th Ave), there's a Cambodian spot called Phnom Penh in Chinatown that's hella good too.

If you cool with spending up to $20 there's some good black spots, Flava's Grill in South San Francisco is easily the best Jamaican restaurant near the City. There's a lot of good ones down by Palo Alto too (Back-A-Yard, Coconut Grill, etc.) but that's far if you ain't whippin while you out here.

There's a soul food spot called Lena's Soul Food Cafe that's literally across the street from the taco spot I named earlier on High Street/International, there's always a line out the door but it's worth the wait. Check their daily specials online if you tryna get something in particular (i.e. jambalaya on Thursdays, oxtails on sundays, etc).

To keep it a buck with you though everywhere I named is in the hood except for Flava's Grill, there's a TON of restaurants in the Bay Area so you'll likely end up eating some other shyt while you're out here. You definitely not gon find any better Mexican food than what you'll get in Fruitvale though, the main part of the Fruitvale strip on International between Fruitvale Ave and 38th is busy & cool to walk through during the daytime so if you're tryna see something that's not touristy it's worth walking around.

A good club in San Francisco is Bissap Baobab on 19th/Mission, it's a Senegalese club with a mixed crowd that plays Nigerian club music.
I went here once when they were playing salsa music and picked up a bad lil joint :wow: this was my first time ever going into a bar/dance club. I also went another time and I seen kehlani there, if OP has a chance to go to SF, Id choose this place

Fosho, easiest thing to do money wise is take the uber to the nearest BART station (probably North Concord since you're in Martinez) and take BART the rest of the way down. All of the clubs I named are easy walking distance from either 19th Street station, 12th Street station or 16th/Mission station. Only thing is BART stops running at 1:00 AM on weekends so if you need BART to get back then you gotta plan to catch the train back to North Concord by 12:30.

One thing you should definitely hit up if it doesn't rain tomorrow is First Friday on Telegraph/Grand in Oakland, it starts at 6pm and ends around 10pm. It's a free block party that happens on the first Friday of every month with different stages and vendors, there's usually a hip hop cypher there that starts around 6:30.

If you fukk with the Hip Hop dance club scene hit up Oakland, New Karribean City (14th/Webster) and Venue (14th/Franklin) are the #1 Hip Hop clubs in town. Aside from them there's a number of clubs playing a mix of top 40 hip hop/r&b and some local stuff, Era Art Bar & Lounge (Grand/Broadway) is straight. If you're over 30 you might fukk with the bar/club scene in Old Oakland, it mostly caters to 30+ black women. The rest of the clubs in Oakland play pop/edm or salsa. If you not looking to dance but want a fun night out you could check out Plank in Jack London Square, it's an upscale bowling alley and arcade that serves alcohol until midnight. There's always some bad ones in there, it's more fun if you come with a group of at least 4 though (and if you bowl you pay a flat fee for a lane per hour so it's better to split it).

A good club in San Francisco is Bissap Baobab on 19th/Mission, it's a Senegalese club with a mixed crowd that plays Nigerian club music. The options for Hip Hop clubs in SF are pretty sparse these days, Skylark (16th/Valencia) is the main one that comes to mind.

There's a ton of concert venues, January lowkey is off-season for shows but if you tryna see somebody live there's a chance are they'll be playing somewhere. The best places to catch a Hip Hop show audio-wise are New Parish (Oakland), The Warfield (SF), The Catalyst (Santa Cruz), Fox Theater (Oakland) and Slim's (SF). Just off a quick search here's some of the people playing this week:

Nef Tha Pharaoh (1/8 @ The Catalyst)
RA The Rugged Man & AFRO (1/14 @ The Catalyst)
R Kelly (1/15 @ Oracle Arena)
A Boogie With Da Hoodie (1/22 @ New Parish)
Beatnuts, Rapper Big Pooh & Termanalogy (1/25 @ The Catalyst)
RTJ (2/3 @ Fox Theater)
DRAM (2/14 @ Social Hall)
Vince Staples (2/25 @ Fox Theater)
The rest of the nightlife in SF is centered around cocktail bars, art galleries and lounges, there's no dress codes enforced in most places but the vibe can be :mjpls:and especially if you ain't checking for white women. If you not trippin on that though then check out Polk Street or the Mission.

If you into clothes then you definitely gotta slide through the City, it's some spots in Oakland too but you gotta know where to go.

If you collect CDs or Vinyl then definitely stop by Amoeba Music (Telegraph Ave in Berkeley or Haight Street in SF) and Park Blvd Records in Oakland. Park Blvd Records is a small shop (strictly Hip Hop though) ran by the dude who used to run the Cocaine Blunts blog back in the day, he got a GREAT selection of 90s and 2000s CDs and lets them go for great prices.

If you into the tech/gaming scene at all there's a video game museum in North Oakland that's open on weekends (12-6pm), it's literally a library of damn near every game ever created for every system going back to the Atari and you can play them there.

If you're into museums and history there's a lot of great places in SF and Oakland, depends what you're tryna see tbr.

Idk how long you staying out here to this should all probably be more than enough to check out if you only out here for a short minute.

You left off club" hue" on broadway in SF. If you get on the guess list now and get in before 11 it's free entrance an usually a free drink. Plus it's on the same street as most of the strip club in SF.

Great American theme park is seasonal but when opens back that's a great spot, there is plenty sh#t to do it just depends on what you like, actually in martinez is a great place to fish if you do that kind of stuff.

Also their is a Dave an buster about 45min away from you, its a upscale adult arcade with food, drinks games an sports bar.

The breh @FruitOfTheVale really be out here!! :blessed::russ:

I stay out near Flavas, my mom used to work at a restaurant supply place so she's hella cool with the owners.

I'm blessed to have had such a great Jamaican spot open up in the unlikeliest spot.. South city in the middle of a Mexican hood.:russ:

Yup it's crazy that there ain't a single Jamaican spot in Frisco but they got one in SSF lol. There used to be a good one in Oakland across from Oakland High but the owners only cater big events now :francis: And that Kingston 11 bullshyt on W. Grand and Telegraph is :scust: The one that used to be on San Pablo in Berkeley is gone now too. smh
