The issue is I cant relate to rappers telling 100%. For music to be relaetable it has to come from the heart or experience at least a little bit. Thats just how I feel on it...the same way I laugh at Ross rapping about moving weight when he was a CO I laugh at Drake talking about starting from the bottom when hes from the burbs. I still enjoy the music but as far as relating? Nah

I get sick of that "relate" argument, shyt is tired and makes it seem like nikkas are so one dimensional that they need to either hear someone spit their life back to them...or a fantasy that they can live vicariously through that they somehow find a way to "relate" to despite never holding guns/weight ect.

Drake being mediocre has nothing to do with how well I can relate to him or the shyt he sings/raps about...he's just mediocre because he is. I've never listened to a drake song (outside of being in a car with a radio) And I've never had a desire to listen to any of his music because I know I can't relate to him. Every rapper I listen to I can relate to to an extent. Whether or not you want to admit it, image has a lot to do with your first impression of an artist. I mean if he says he went thru a struggle, spoke about some really deep shyt I can relate to I would look at his bar mitzvah pictures and I wouldn't believe him.
