This was a discussion with Ta-Nehisi Coates...who said nothing in response to such ridiculousness. I don't think ADOS needs to calm down on this one. AOC uses interesting language to include Latinos in our claim of reparations and anything else. She is literally trying to hitch her empty wagon to ours. More importantly, this is not the first time that she's done this. It is a pattern. See post #49 as that is the conversation that I referenced in my earlier post.

Also, what is the demographic makeup of the district she represents? It's not that politicians like or dislike any particular group. How critical is the support of that group in getting them in office and keeping them there? Internet game with sensational titles and excerpted clips is cute, but at the end of the day fun and games don't lead to anything.

Only issue I have with her comment is that "Latinos" are not decedents of Native Americans ...mestizos are definitely decedents of Native Americans but not "Latinos".
I.E. All so called "Latinos" are not mixed(at all or significantly) with Native Americans.
(Just in case yall get it twisted when I say "Native American" = all precolumbian "native" peoples of North, Central, South, Caribbean America who arrived mainly via bering straits)
