This is one of the reasons why I wouldn’t put my head on the chopping block for people. I think I said this in the MET Gala thread.
People respect and admire bullies. People gain more responsibilities as they get older but if you look closely, you see that there is not much separating them from highschool students.
It doesn't matter if the person is right or wrong. They will go along with the dominant personality.
And I think they do not what is going on. If AOC tries to do something, they'll be the first ones to dismiss it as a meaningless gesture because the rest of the house won't side with her.
In their heart of hearts, they want the status quo to remain the same and will eagerly await for people trying to buck the system to fail.
You have to have a dominant personality to make it in the political world. That's just is and how it works. You can't step into a room full of powerful players and them knowing well beforehand that you're sensitive and crack under pressure.
She isn't the first person that's stepped into Congress with sincere intentions and she won't be the last. The problem is that money talks and those mega-corporations control Congress. That's how the game works. The only way she will get to where she truly wants to go is that she gets her hands dirty and become the person that goes against everything she believes in.
If she won't play the game, then someone else will

She's the Ziggy Sobotka of The Squad
