At this point it's a combination of name recognition and a crowded field.

Yeah I think trying to speculate about who will be running in 2028 before the midterms is pointless. It's just way too early.

It could easily end up being someone we're not even thinking about. After all, it's not like anybody expected Obama to be a contender in 2006.

The moment feels like 2006.

However it also feels like 2018.

We have a former VP who’s leading hypothetical polls in a crowded field. A person who’s failed multiple times at the presidency. A former Senator.

Real talk, AOC should be a lifer politician. Be a senator. I don't think most politicians should be lifers, but AOC seemingly cares about the average person. She's the type who will definitely give the appropriate oversight to ensure people are being looked out for.
