Nah people literally abandon houses.

Especially cats that are on drugs/warrants. They'll leave fully furnished houses at the drop of a hat and depending on if/how the get evicted, they'll leave everything behind and go start somewhere else new.

That was my second high school job. I worked for an apartment company that manages complexes all over the city and we were the ones to go in and clean shyt out.

That was my job just to remove items. Not rip up carpet, paint, drywall, clean (scrub, vacuum, wash). Just remove items.

People leave shyt behind, some people cant afford a Uhaul. Tv's, beds, cribs, toys, stereos, clothes, workout equipment, tools, computers.

We never ever came in like a day or 2 after, it was always 30 days or so. Even then there were places that it look like someone might have just gone to work that morning.

Happens often when people die and have no next of kin.
You got any stories of some wild shyt you saw when doing this?

You are an idiot so I'm not surprised you certain things wouldn't serve as a prompt to carry out further investigation.

You got any stories of some wild shyt you saw when doing this?

I didn't have any wild stories but there were old work wives tales "Oh these units are gang members...they gonna stake you out and when you go up in there they gonna bum rush you and kill you!."

There's mad procedures. Even when someone got evicted they didn't change the locks for 2 weeks. And nobody was ever surprise evicted. So 2 weeks after you're supposed to be out they change the locks then wait another 2 weeks then clean it out. They even put these heavy duty stickers on the inside wall by the front door that says "you're evicted, contact the office" because people claim "oh I didn't know!" "Wait, what's going on?" "I never got a notice!!!!" These stickers were hard as fukk to remove so they can't say the notice blew away or someone took it, yadda yadda. There was never any rush to go in and clean units out at. We were consistently behind, this was a time when there was no housing rush. So shyts would be vacant for a month or 2.

There's lots of stories of dog shyt and piss on carpets, people finding dead or just abandoned pets. I never saw any of that.

I remember my first apartment, I changed the locks and brought a copy of the keys down to the leasing office...a few weeks later I was getting out the shower and heard someone open my door, I pointed the 10mm and noticed it was the leasing office agent, and a sheriff...he said I thought this was a apartment that was moving out, I said no in fact your the individual I gave my key to...he apologize and offered me a gift card, I said no and they left, but yeah mistakes errors happen

I’m surprised they could do this without the sherif being present.
