It usually takes me 2 listens to digest any Sky album do to his complex rhymes. Saying that while doing yard work I finally got time yesterday and I must say this shyt is a banger.

Thought it was just okay off the 1st listen but after riding around yesterday with it in the whip, I was able to take the album in.

I think the album is flames. Apollo added some variation with the samples and drums. And of course Sky did his thing.

while I respect Skyzoo, he really bores me to death as an emcee brehs :ld:

I been listening to dude since the 9th Wonder days and can't quote you one lyric from him

he's not wack, he's serviceable mos definitely, but something about the monotony of Apollo's production and his limited bag of tracks has me kind of :upsetfavre: about this. a lot of heads gonna be saying this shyt is dope because they feel they're SUPPOSED to. i'll give it a listen tho :ehh:
Exactly...that whole "real music" ideology.

after a thorough listen this album is flames. been a fan since city favorite so it's good to see sky progress like this. Apollo Brown held it down on the production, I was actually surprised because he has the tendency to stick to a particular sound but he mixed it up real nice.

from the reactions in this thread, i feel like sky is the j cole of underground rappers; either you get him/like him or you dont. personally, i think his wordplay is beautiful and his abstract style/appreciation-ear for beats that fit his style is a great balance to the nonsense over-saturating rap, today.

him and westside gunn have a weird chemistry. shyt is like kettle corn. it just works.

Album is flames, been on repeat all weekend. Zoo isn't one of my favorite rappers cause of that lack of charisma that many people talk about, but his wordplay is undeniable. Combine that with Apollo Brown, one of best sample/boom bap producers doing it these days, and there was no way this album was gonna disappoint. Top 5 of the year easy :wow:
