Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
This whole situation has brought out a lot of anti-Blackness. I honestly think most Black Americans know that Blacks exist in most places around the world, but no one can argue that Black Scottish people are well represented in the media. I dare anyone to name a TV show, movie, or even commercial that features a Black Scottish person. So it's not that we are ignorant, it's just a moment of pure joy to see representation in another place, and somehow it's being twisted into a narrative that once again shyts on Black Americans for just being Black Americans.

Maybe not all have come directly from Africa ❕
Some may have come from the West Indies or other parts of Europe.

Thank goodness for aeroplanes

Do you mean like “Afro-Scottish”? The UK doesn’t use the term “African” followed by the destination country. I’m guessing it would be “Black Scottish, Black Irish” same as it is Black British.

I mean like how FBA are told to say they’re African despite having American lineage.

Facts. I've realized over the years that America is in it's own fishbowl. Outside of a few countries, they are clueless about the world around them. And what makes it funnier is that a good majority are clueless of other parts of the US too :francis::mjlol:
I tried to point that out but it seemed to make some people upset LOL

The term “black person” have really changed over the last year or so

To some the only black people are born here in America and not the 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants

That loud side won’t call anyone black unless your part of that

I remember finding out that Alaska had black people up there. Come to find out, many of them are people with warrants and ran from the west coast.
:mjpls:
How else would you end up in Alaska unless you were stationed out there with the military and found you an Eskimo to settle down with.
:whoo:
Imagine having to check in at Anchorage, Alaska.

good lord. I saw this whole thing play out on Tiktok. It started out as funny little jokey joke thing because there was one video of this Black scottish dude that went viral. Then it immediately turned into non-Black American Blacks calling Black Americans dumb and uneducated.

Almost all Black immigrants that move to the UK settle in England. Black Scottish people make up a miniscule number of the UK's population.
Funnily enough some of the first groups of black ppl I met when I first visited the uk were black ppl from Scotland and Ireland. That’s why this whole topic is funny too me

Are ppl just finding out about wind rush?
It would appear so

Well for those black people in Scotland it goes without saying. Like every other black person in the UK they are from somewhere else, and it’s highly likely that their parents are both from the same country carrying genetic phenotypes forward which makes it so you can visually tell someone is Ghanaian, Nigerian etc etc As like every other black person in the UK we all have a “back home” or going back home to see Granny in whatever country she comes from.

Black Americans and to a further extent Caribbean ppl are mongrels, mixed with, Black, white, native, mezo American etc for generations in a place where neither of us are from for generations so maybe the definition is warranted. However in Jamaica you are just Jamaican not Chinese Jamaican, Indian Jamaican. So maybe the “African” prefix is specific to America. I hope that adds clarity; maybe someone else can expound further from their own experience.

That's interesting but definitely an anomaly lol.
Dog my last night I left I ended up bagging a lily white welsh chick who happened to be a flight attendant on my return trip, stg if I documented the journey for my first NHC experience I promise I could get a Hollywood deal from it :pachaha:. Speaking of NHC I’ll be there this weekend. Honestly haven’t missed a year since 2017

Why are they delineating when they are Africans?
