That's a lot of whining to just say you wanted to be treated the same as a female. Again I'm talking to you as a man. Why are you bringing up women? The standard of accountability has always been slanted towards the masculine side because we're the ones that are supposed to be the leaders and produce an outcome whether positive or negative. It's not my job to police and hold women accountable they're responsible for their side of the fence. I'm not a woman and I don't understand their trials or tribulations. I'm a man and a black one at that. I know the cards are slanted in the other sides favor but I still choose to rise above it. You're just waving the white flag because the game is rigged and you feel that it's not fair. When has it ever been fair is my question to you?if it were open accountability for both parties, i wouldnt have this issue. but that isnt the case. black men are often critized and stigmatized for what the minority of black men do to the point that people would have you believe that every black man is a deadbeat with multiple children from different mothers and the black men that do have children abandon them at a moments notice. if theres ever a group that has accountability used against them to such a degree, its black men. were too stupid to vote rationally so we have to be belittled and mocked like a bull seeing a red cape into voting the right way. we have to be told at a young age how to interact with the police and other means of authority because we are always presumed guilty before innocence is accounted for. we are often seen as bullies and savages to the point that people dont see our loss of life as anything to be upset about but rather an expectation. and still strangely enough, despite being seen as irrational savages that would turn on anyone given a moments notice, we are still pestered and agitated by people of varying groups for simply existing as they do. its wild that theres a narrative that that black men are not held accountable or lacking of accountability when that shyt is shoved down our throats before were even allowed to fukking enter society. shyt even little black boys feel the sting of accountibility where black boys, children as seen as men by the age of 13. where the trauma that black boys experience isnt even taken seriously. so where exactly arent black men held accountable?
This is my biggest issue with this "accountability" narrative: white media has been pushing the narrative that black men as a whole need to be accountable for crime and violence in the community for decades. We've been pushing back on this narrative for decades calling it racist, misleading and unfair to group us all in like that, etc.surprised it took so long for this to be posted here. But he was 100% wrong.
1)you are not responsible as a Black man for the actions of every Black man on earth. If you believe you should be accountable for every Black man's actions then the next time a Black male celeb is sued for some #MeToo shyt, then send some money and chip in on the lawsuit. We know you won't.
2)most Black men don't know all these toxic men. This is part of the basis of that bullshyt statement he made. His whole premise is that as Black men we just sit around with whole social circles of rapists and deadbeat dads.
at the end of the day, this whole topic wasn't even about the words he said, because they are clearly easily debunked. This was just another "compliance check", just like the Man vs Bear thing. The whole point is so see which men are "compliant" with clear simpish bullshyt. The Man vs Bear thing had no point other than to see who is in compliance.

This is a slippery slope because the "my personal history with x group is bad so I'm justified in my discrimination and hostility" narrative is the exact same one that racists have been using against black people for decades. Are you going to give them grace too?I don't think he means we as black men are all to blame, but we should give grace to women, due to the bad actors among us and their reactions to rejection.
Hence him parallelling it with racism from white people.
All white people aren't gonna be bad. Full stop.
But due to our history with them, who can blame us for thinking otherwise?

So you didn't either read or comprehend anything I said. I keep telling you that ain't nobody looking out for us and it's foolish of you sitting out here waiting on someone to solve your problems/issues. If you're the man/leader than lead by example. You're too focused on counting how many people are following you instead of just walking the path forward. That's why all that whining about what the other side is/isn't doing doesn't resonate with me. It's a feminine trait to move in life like that. Again it's not my role to criticize women that's what women are for. If a woman doesn't align with where I'm heading I just ignore her. You're still chasing their validation trying to twist their arms to be accountable. Also you mentioned white folks and goalpost shifting, why are you measuring your wort or success as a black man on the rules they've set for themselves? Success or the definition is personal to each of us individually while you're chasing the white mans version of it carve your own path breh.are you an honest person?
youre talking out of both sides of your neck. one second talking about black men are supposed to be leaders, but then say that its not up to you to police women and hold them accountable. then who are men supposed to be leading? seeing black men and black women as two separate groups is a reason why were in our current state. we cant have one without the other. and critizing men(which includes black women) while saying you cant critize women is an odd take, but explains a lot. as for your last question. ive said it has never been fair, but im not gonna sit here and pretend that every issue we face in this country is because of our own failings. when white people are constantly running with the goalposts making new reasons for failure and and removing means of upward mobility for us so were always in a lower caste, when our leadership who we support at a ridiculously high rate will often tell us that they cant, or are afraid to do for us because people will have an issue with it is a continuous issue that we face. if pointing out that were trying to escape a burning house while people have barricaded the exit from the outside is a white flag to you, then mlk waved that white flag decades ago. how is respectability supposed to help us win the race when it hasnt before theres traps all over the track? when the people that should be looking out for us are more preoccupied with talking down to us and lining their pockets than to actually make attempts in helping us. whats the solution to our peculiar circumstance?
