Gender and sex have always been separate though...or defined as two different things. You can find that in any social biology book (look for biological anthro...that's where I studied it). Hell, during the Renaissance Period (1300-1600)...there was only one biologically defined sex. Which of course changed with advancements in tech. There are papers from the 50s (earliest I've seen) that began to make a formal distinction between sex and gender. So....no...this isn't some relatively new late 20th/early 21st century stuff. MOST individuals identify with what they are born as. If you're XX, you typically identify as female/woman. Same with XY and men. This is the problem with conflating commonness as normalcy. Anything that deviates from the sex/gender paradigm is abnormal which makes sense but tends to piss a lot of folks off because someone people don't feel they fit into defined categories.

Either way, I'm sick of this. Identify with what you want but this whole "I'm gonna take a black and white pic with some "significant" words on the front for social value" is played out. Stfu. At the end of the day, no one cares.

Also, I truly wish people would taking "science" as an absolute truth. Eugenics is a science. Phrenology is a science. Both are

Ellen Degeneres isn't a male or a man regardless of how manly she were to act/behave. The change in the perception of "gender" is a result of social engineering.
