I think if they got rid of that rule it would open the game up a lot more and we could see the more athletic players shine
Because fukk a cherry picker that's why. Plus a soccer field is way too big for a no offsides rule. It would literally ruin the sport same with hockey. You can have that rule for basketball because the court is short with dudes on average 6' 6" tall. Def wouldn't make sense to have have an offsides rule in football because the play stops every time with everyone returning to the line of scrimmage after every play.
