In case you were unaware, a Drumline sequel is happening, and it finally has a premiere date. VH1 has announced that the movie, called Drumline: A New Beat, will air on Monday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m. ET.
Yes, this is happening 12 years after the original film, but hey — the anticipation will make this that much sweeter. The star of the original film, Nick Cannon, is serving as executive producer this time around. (He’ll make an appearance in this one too, but will no longer be the leading man.)

Mariah Carey-Nick Cannon Divorce Reports: Mariah Heading For Rehab, Depressed And Turning To Alcohol

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey may be living separately, but they are technically still married. Divorce papers were not settled yet. But reports claimed that Maria is taking the separation really hard. She is said to be so depressed over her marriage situation that she may be heading to rehab soon.
According to Radar Online, a source told OK! magazine that the 45-year-old singer is having a very difficult time right now.
"She has a different bond with Nick than any of the men she's been with and that's why she's taking this breakup even harder," the source said.
Additionally, the source claimed Nick Cannon wanted his wife to go to rehab for alcohol and drug addiction. Mariah Carey has allegedly been drinking champagne and taking anti-depressant pills that it has become a habit.
"She's going to have a total breakdown if someone doesn't intervene soon," the source added, saying Mariah may find herself in the hospital soon if she does not seek help.
Rumours about Mariah Carey's champagne drinking habit is not new. Radar Online also cited another source who told U.S. Weekly that the singer has turned to alcohol following the separation. Carey would allegedly stay up until seven in the morning "drinking Prosecco", while she dissects every angle of her body in photographs.
Nick Cannon and friends are said to be worried that she would end up in the hospital again like what happened in 2001.
Back in 2001, four years after her divorce from first husband Tommy Mottola, Mariah Carey landed in the hospital. Rumours circulated she was depressed. However, she later denied speculations of mental breakdown in "Good Morning America." She claimed that exhaustion and lack of sleep were the reasons for her hospitalization and not because she has turned "schizo."
However, people are said to be questioning whether this time around the singer will seek clinical help and go to rehab. But Mariah Carey has turned her attention towards music instead for therapy. People Magazine claims she has been busy making new songs and rehearsing for her upcoming "Elusive Chanteuse Tour." Likewise, Mariah Carey has not addressed any of the reports regarding her impending divorce from Nick Cannon and her alleged alcohol and drug addiction.
