Apparently you can still get a free upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 or 8.1

Here's how you can still get a free Windows 10 upgrade | ZDNet
Seems like all you have to do is download Windows 10 and then install it and it automatically activates a legit Windows 10 license even though that program was supposed to have ended last summer.

Not sure how long this will last now that its been pointed out in the mainstream media.

It was supposed to have ended back in July but they still haven't shut down the activation servers. People are no longer prompted to do it but if you do it yourself it still works.
