My argument is that there was no way Obamacare was going to succeed if it had to be forced upon the people. To think Americans will accept being force fed anything is to be completely clueless as to the temperament of Americans. We have senators in office now who were elected on a fukk Obamacare ticket.
Neither side can effectively govern by bushing the other side... attempting to do so is a guaranteed shyt show
Ridiculous. By that standard the government should never do anything because there's nothing both sides will agree on.
By your logic MLK should've sat the fukk down and waited until conservatives were onboard before demanding civil rights.

Passing something as important and dependent on partisan support as healthcare reform shouldn’t consist of side of the isle force feeding the other side.
I feel this way about deregulating healthcare too, there must be trade offs imho no ideologically pure solution should be achieved in this country.
