the last 3 years I traded in a pro max and got $880 for it. so I just add a little money to that and get the new phone. I also get $70 cash back from my credit card for purchasing it, so it typically cost me $300 to own a new phone outright. and the $300 I spend is just cash back I already earned on my credit card anyways, so I'm not even coming out of pocket.

Back in the early 2010s Apple events felt like a peak into the future now they are just boring.

Really no point. I have a 14Pro and a 12Pro (back up). Don't see myself upgrading until the 16/17 tbh.

usb-c iphone 15 is the only real thing. When it comes to cell phone, macbook and ipad tech we have plateaued. By iphone 12 runs fine even though I'll probably upgrade to the 15.
