Hackers really have had it good the past decade or two. If you hack into a government server, you get rewarded with a job rather than jail.
yall do know the phone they want hacked by apple didnt even belong to the terrorist. it belongs to the spot he was working for. it was his work phone. therefore, they own it and they have already told law enforcement and anyone else that needed to know, that it was ok to break into the phone that they own.
and for the record. if the feds request that ONE phone be hacked into NOT ALL. just the one phone. how will that info get out to the hackers? Unless you have moles working for apple?

You can't hack into this one phone without developing a software code for the entire operating system. That means that if they want to hack this one phone, they'll have to provide the keys needed to hack ANY iPhone.

See there's one thing for the federallies to ask for a backdoor for all phones just in case they need info on a bad guy. that, i'm not feeling for the obvious reasons apple has suggested. So let me make it clear. DO NOT CREATE AN ONGOING BACKDOOR FOR ALL PHONES. meaning you have some backdoor where only the feds have access. meaning anyone who can crack the fed code can therefore get access. thats not what is being asked in this single situation.
They can create said backdoor for THIS one phone. even if they have to make a modified OS to do it. They dont have to put that OS into any other phone but this phone. So the only way it would get out is.... if apple lets it out.

Don't forget we're talking about setting precedents. So the outcome of this fight will determine how our courts look at other fed requests to hack phones.
