My 2015 MBP will probably hold me down until 2020/2021 So I`m not stressing but as far as PCs are concerned Microsoft is dropping superior hardware. I Still prefer OS X to Windows 10, but Windows 10 is def a step in the right direction for MS.

Apple is only good for phones and tablets and that's only because of the jailbreaking community

I've always wanted a iMac or MBP but I can't spend all that damn money when I know i can build a better pc myself for half the price

Above all I was incredibly disappointed with the pricing structure.

$1800 for the new base 13" MBP up from $1300 for last year's base model? (I'm not including that MBP-lite w/o touchbar) The fukk. Where they do that at? Apple apparently.

Couple the cost increase with the lack of ports (the SD slot in particular as I handle a lot of pictures)...this was just an underwhelming and disappointing update for me.

I held out for this MBP update...and got a Dell instead.

If it wasn't for iMessage/FaceTime I'd consider pulling out of Apple's ecosystem all together.

Apple still has the best software in town. Until someone can best them, it will always be their game to play:manny:
The last proper OS they released was Mavericks (retina MBP) and Snow Leopard (non-retina). iOS has also been generally underwhelming since iOS 6. What we're seeing now is what happens when the basic needs of a device have been more than sufficiently met. The focus in today's market is the "next big thing" because that's what brings the most attention. Beyond that, Apple is becoming a victim of success.

It's underwhelming, but dependable. If windows had better boot times and didn't leave little giblets of past deleted programs floating around in my c drive, I'd consider being a consumer of their products. But at this time, I know that when I turn on my macbook or imac, everything will be just as I want it and ready to go at a moment's notice.

No doubt it's dependable, but I think SSD boot times are fine for both and both also leave little pieces of deleted programs, see Application Support or Caches in the ~/Library folder for example. I find both to be equally reliable. Windows 7 and Mavericks are probably best we'll see for a while, in my opinion.

if you're still buying a MacBook pro with the surface book out you are pouring jelly on yourself

I sold my iPad Pro to buy a MacBook Air instead because it just isn't as capable to me for the price.

If I wasn't deep in iOS I`d probably be using an XPS13 or Surfacebook and the Surface Studio combo

Well u know they doing that on purpose. Its like why buy an iPad if the mac is touch screen. Also why make an iPad do everything a computer can do? Than people wouldn't by the mac.
