These companies don't own factories they contract work out of them. Everything is made in China. Not just apple shyt. It's the same for all of the companies working out of there. People made it trendy to target apple and Nike because they are big brands working out of China but most companies do.

China has shut labor laws and workers get exploited. Same with places like India which is doing the same. Work conditions are a local government issue. These companies play a hand by doing business there but so do you buying their.shyt made there. A lot of people will get on their apple made in China products to talk about apple abusing Chinese. China has influence over everything america. It makes sense. They're a highly industrious country of 1 billion. They make everything we consume too.

China has one BILLION people living there. They gave more millionaires than anywhere else on earth and they have literally millions of middle class people who will buy American bullshyt that's made in their factories.

These corporations will let you cook until you start upsetting their shareholders and bottom line. A lot of people don't know that you are REQUIRED to show returns each quarter and each year. If your company is not growing its not considered a success. It doesn't matter how many million it raked in last year, the share holders expect more and at best they'll divest and at worst they'll take you to court. Our system enables this shyt and the people who are amongst the biggest beneficiaries of it are the ones telling us they'll somehow give us prosperity while busting it wide open for companies to erode consumer protections and regulations. They're all predators that try to assure you that they aren't exactly what you see them as.

I suspect he low key knows this too and over the span of his career its really dawning on him that capitalism ain't it. Look at what it's doing to our planet. Look at what it's doing to families and human mental health. And for what? A few hundred people to have more money than they could ever spend in 12 lifetimes?

Its not that they influence the media. It's that they influence major manufacturers which fund the media. Apple is not Gannet or Sinclair or Time/Warner or Comcast. But what they DO control is the vehicle(s) of delivery. Media is water, but China makes all the pipes. Without China there's no cameras, phones, chips, fiberoptics, sets, and so much other shyt. They ARE the world's factory. And they want to go full force on AI because it allows them to manufacture white collar and creative work as well.

Apple NEEDS China in more ways than many other tech companies do. Because at the end of the day they are a hardware manufacturer. They don't have a chokehold on data like Google does, they don't have control of the entertainment world like Netflix and they don't have the retail/logistics locked up like Amazon. Apple is SO rich it can get away with shyt, but if China stopped fukking with them they'd be fukked because they simply haven't diversified enough to NOT make phones and laptops.
