But I don't have to have a galaxy to experience android. You can get Androids for $50 or less. I could buy everybody in my house Android phones and tablets and still not pay as much as I would for 1 Apple device, which does less than even the cheap Androids.

I have dedicated Android devices running parts of my home automation system and security system. I have Androids used as motion sensors and "security" cameras. I have Androids (tablets) specifically for my kids. I have Androids specifically for my TVs (firesticks and chromecast). I have who knows how many old Androids in boxes with my electronics.

As many Android devices that I just said and the price for them all was still just slightly more than what I paid for my iPad, which collects dust for some reason

The galaxys and htcs pretty much cost the same with and without contract

You're forgetting there are so many Android devices from so many OEMs, folks got options.

The prices of those phones depreciate alot faster than iPhones

There's still iPhone 5s going for $500 on EBay

Can't say the same about Samsung Galaxy S4s

at the concept of paying $500 for a phone with a 4-inch screen in 2015.

No surprise there. I realized this back in 2011 when Android was gaining market share like crazy much like Windows did in the 90s. Google is pretty much the Microsoft of the smartphone world.

But Android is still 2nd class when it comes to app developers though. And this is coming from an Android fan.

Apple never wins. They lost the PC front and now they are losing the mobile front. Them losing only defeats the myth that consumers are not smart.

They lost what exactly? Last year they made more revenue than both Microsoft and Google combined. Not to mention iOS is gaining market share faster than Macs ever did in their lifecycle.
