The analyst in the video at the link said it would probably increase cost by $100 an iphone.

Tbh thats not bad at all. I'd imagine Apple will have mostly automated manufacturing on the phones in the US but that'll still create jobs to supervise and to make the robotics. Most phones are subsidized now over a 2-yr contract so it adds less than $5 per month in expense. I don't see anyone thinking twice about buying a locally made iPhone.

Iphone will also be 2.5 times the cost now or production will completely automated.

The wild part is people will still find a way to afford them .

Call me a cynic...Apple is probably trying to use nationalism to defend their dwindling market share ...Samsung ,LG and the Chinese already have the upper hand in innovation and theyre years ahead in features.
