No at 9.1 cents literally NOONE is generating anything worthwhile from streams. At that rate an artist Drake or Beyonce probably makes more on one show than they would for a year of streams

not even the big name artists can eat off that lol
yea but artists have ALWAYS made more money from shows/tours. That ain't a surprise.
even when a song is $1 to buy, or a CD is $15. I've felt ripped too many times by the quality of the music that I have received.
I'm actually a fan of streaming(on the fan side).
ESPECIALLY in today's music market. Music is so disposable and non memorable that it just makes sense to stream.
I won't even waste my time downloading music anymore, it just means I have to delete most of the trash anyway.

No joke a temp worker at the factory I work in could come in, no experience, just to move boxes or put shyt in boxes. Get $10/hr at 40hrs +5 OT a week and make more than that (gross) in 3 weeks.

Yea I don't get it, Apple are claiming that they are increasing payout. While Spotify's are being labelled the #1 cheap streamer for paying 40 cents per 100 streams. Which is over 4 times more than what Apple are trying to get props for.
Allegedly Apples new formula means that 100 streams = 9.1 cents = 1 iTunes purchase, seems off.
