Apple Music is PIFF but Spotify has better podcasts.

It just depends on what you value more. If you have an iphone I can confidently say that Apple Music seamlessly works.

Spotify curates better.

Apple Music app is ehh and they’ve done a shyt job promoting the live stations.

I can tolerate Spotify force feeding the podcast stuff.

Build some good playlists and you’re straight.

All of these streaming services are trash when It comes to rare mixes and bootlegs. I still keep tons of DJ mixes, rare shyt, bootlegs, instrumentals and stuff you just won’t find in my iTunes on a machine that I won’t update since iTunes is dead now.

iTunes on an actual computer was solid. You could easily find internet radio stations and trying that shyt now will make your mind explode.

I canceled my Apple Music for Spotify about 6 months ago and I love it and haven’t looked back:manny: I keep geting emails from Apple begging like a low self-esteem hoe for me to come back talking about they will give 3 months for the price of one, nah:umad:

I've used both exhaustively and I'm going with Spotify. The biggest reason being Spotify's ubiquity. For instance it's available on my Alexa devices. It works with my TV, Xbox and PS5. Apple Music does not. Secondly, it has collaborative playlists. Third, I just find the UI more intuitive. Finally, I think it has better recommendations based on my listening habits. It'll even automatically add songs to manually curated playlists. Yea, Apple Music works seamlessly with Apple devices (it appears to be baked into the OS?) but it's not that much more seamless. Spatial audio was a letdown for me and I turned it off. Apple Music does have superior radio stations.

I had nothing but problems with the Spotify app bluetooth pairing when with my car. Especially losing where I was at with podcasts. Apple music/podcasts been working perfectly

That being said they're not different so whatever works better for you.

At least for hip-hop, r&b, dancehall, reggae, and afrobeats
~Apple Music currates better(Apple Music curated playlists, Other user's playlist, Apple Radio is on point)

~When both are set to high-quality...on my iphone, on my PC, bluetooth/AirPlay connections to my A/V Receiver.....Apple Music sounds better than Spotify [...I still prefer to play 24-bit or 16-bit FLAC via portable USB HDD]

~Apple Music provide Lossless audio, Spatial audio/Dolby Atmos....for no additional costs - Tidal, Deezer(users have to pay more for lossless), Spotify still doesn't provide lossless

~Interface/UX...Apple Music is once again better(Updating/Creating personal playlists on the fly, Karaoke Mode/Lyrics, much easier to play personal music collection(MP3, M4A) with Apple Music

IDK how anyone who cares about music quality and experience can choose Spotify over Apple Music...
Anyone who says Spotify can't explain why it's better
...I'm on a family plan for both....
