Apple Music is here and it’s not going anywhere—at least, not if you don’t turn off auto-renewal.
When you update your iPhone’s software today, you’ll be invited to take Apple Music for a spin. It’s a free trial, but after September 30th when the free trial ends, Apple will auto-renew your membership. This means that after the first three months, Apple will start charging your credit card $10 per month.
Most people aren’t going to realize auto-renewal is even enabled, and it’s not easy to find out where to turn this off. Here’s how you find this setting, and get rid of it:
1. The Apple Music app, head to your profile. It’s the little red silhouette of a human head.
2. Choose “View Apple ID.” Log in, and wait for it to load.
3. Head to “Manage,” which is under “Subscriptions.”
Go ahead and switch that bad boy off—if that’s what you want, of course.
