This is a non-story, but its being used to manufacture more consent from American liberals who desperately want a reason to go to war with China (and suppression of Chinese Muslims is the current cause de jure).

How is this a non story? Are you aware of what’s going on in Xinjiang?

Both the West and the East need to keep their filthy hands out of Africa unless they're building 21st-century green infrastructure and the entirety of the jobs and wealth are being given to the African peoples
The issue is that China didn't start these massively harmful extractive methods, the economies were built around those methods in the 19th and 20th centuries during colonialism - regardless of which country is at the head of the practices, unless Sankara-level restructuring and development were to happen in each of the countries, they'd fall back into this version of the mode of production
