It was an optical scanner, similar to the ones that use to be popular in laptops. This one is different.

Apple may not be first to some features, but they usually have the best implementation of said feature...

i almost switched to droid earlier this year but the 5 and ios7 brought me back

been using ios7 beta all summer and was very impressed.

gonna sell the 5 and cop this in the fall

While I was in Afghanistan I used a Nexus 4 and a nexus 7 tablet. Neither of which could compare in performance, apps, or usability to my iPhone 5 or ipad Mini so I'm back 100% JobsGang

if you go by past schedules they will drop the new products next friday and the ios next wednesday. but maybe theyll surprise us and we'll this week

Yeah I forgot about it.

But they will release golden master version which you can install through iTunes even if you don't have developer account. You can install beta the same way now, I didn't try though.

upgrade to ios7 beta 4 if you dont wanna wait. the GM version might even be out by then. its pretty stable and definitely fine to use til next week's official release.
