Apple to Hold new iPad Event Oct. 16,

Apple may be showing off its new iPads and iMacs sooner than expected.

The Cupertino-based company is planning to hold its next event Oct. 16, not Oct. 21 as previously reported, Recode reports.

Apple is expected to show off the next generation iPad Air and iPad Mini at the event. The upcoming iPads are said to have faster processors, likely the same A8 chip in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and quite possibly Apple's Touch ID system — which first launched more than a year ago on the iPhone 5S, but has not yet shown up on an iPad.

A new line of iMacs and the launch of Apple's new operating system, OS X Yosemite, could also be on the schedule that day, according to areport from 9to5Mac earlier this week.

Apple first previewed Yosemite at WWDC in San Francisco in June and early beta versions of the operating system include references to high resolution displays.

The upcoming event will likely be more low-key than last month's U2-dominated iPhone and Apple Watch event in Cupertino's cavernous Flint Center.

somebody needs to help me. what is the best tablet on the market? I know the iPhone is basura compared to the phones Samsung and HTC have been putting out the last couple of years.

but is apple still king of the tablet game? I'm tryin to buy one and can't seem to find a consensus of what the best tablet is? I'm leaning toward the new iPad cause the last one got alot of praise.

FYI I'm only interested in the tablet for media comsumption. reading the internet, books, watching movies, streaming netflix, youtube, etc. I got a laptop for business shyt like word processing. so now Microsoft Surface for me.

So if thats all I want, would I be wrong to get the new iPad eventhough I hate almost everything else Apple?

you can do whatever you want on an android tablet. Get a Nexus

which one is the best though? I know when it comes to phones the Samsung Galaxy and Note are top of the line as well as the HTC One. But which is the premier andriod tablet out there? and does it run circles around the iPad like the andriod phones do with the iPhone?

From the little internet research I've seen, most sites seem to still give the tablet crown to the iPad eventhough they admit the andriod phones outclass the iPhone.


NOTE: price is not an issue. I'll pay anything as long as I'm getting the best product.

I am not sure how people still hold the iPad the crown when it still has iOS on it :huhldup:

Get a Nexus, you can play whatever you want and load whatever you want on there. Don't accept limitations

but ain't the nexus cheap as fukk. i want my products to premium. don't wanna get no shyt that poor fukks can also cop.

If you want the ABSOLUTE best? It's the surface pro...and that shyt is pricey enough to even shut your ass up.

For Android I would only consider a Nexus...I hate Samsung products.

I would avoid the iPad, but if you are able to workaround the limitations its not a bad choice either.
