As much as I hate the cut servicing to the big players that host the game downloads, I can't entirely side with Epic here.

Yeah, from what I’m hearing if Epic gets their way, that means they also get to put their storefronts on the switch and PlayStation without compensating them either. It also means every 3rd party publishers gets to create their own storefronts reaping 100% of the profits which means platform holders get fukked, since they make up their backend on 3rd party software sales.

It would actually work out for microsoft cause they’d get to put xcloud/gamepass on PlayStation’s and Nintendo’s for no cost.

apple has way too much power with the app store
but if you allow the big companies to make stores on the iPhone than the small game developers will suffer the most
