I always look at this album as the set up for Things Fall Apart and Like Water For Chocolate as soulful/spiritual/lyrical pieces of work (and it don't hurt that these albums were these artist's best body of work) Also this album solidiied Andre Lauren Benjamin as my all time favorite rapper to this....he can never drop anything ever again and I'm fine cause he solidified his spot wit this joint....jus imaging being in 9th grade popping this in and hearing

The album is perfect as is, but I wish Black Ice was their song and was on Aquemini. That song has 2 of my favorite Big and Andre verses on it
shyt, Andre's verse on here is probably my favorite from him.
I love how the video was shot. Brilliant!

Gotdamn, bruhs. Look at how great Hip Hop use to be!

This Andre verse was just :wow:

I loved that Goodie Mob album tho.

Beautiful Skin, They Don't Dance No More.......man :wow:

Music just doesn't speak to my soul like this anymore :mjcry:

So much game dropped on an album that just sounds/feels so good. Every so often when I go back and listen to this album, I come away with a new favorite song/verse. Watching how the country responds to the opiod addiction "crisis" amongst white people vs the response to crack and blacks makes me think of Dre's verse from 'Y'all Scared":

Yo, paragraph indent, I make intense sense
nikkas on that Gil Scott dope (hint hint)
At age fifteen they start smoking Billy Clint'
Now he's twenty-one and wants to know where the time went
Hey hey hey what's the haps? Well see your time elapsed
Have you ever thought of the meaning of the word trapped
Baboon on your back, but what's sad is that crack
Was introduced to Hispanic communities and blacks
But then it spread to white and got everyone's undivided attention
Cause your daughter is on it and you can't hide it
Maybe your son tried it, rehab too crowded
You scared, she scared, they scared, I said
They scared they scared to talk about it
Bout it bout it bout it bout it bout it

There are few albums that I love, but this is one of them. Absolutely a personal GOAT.
