Back in the day cops had to basically bend the law to get them kingpins behind bars

Now they don't even have to leave the precinct until it's time to go arrest them

I wonder how the old heads look at the dumb new nikkas coming inside the cell block when they explain how they got caught :pachaha:

How you gonna explain to a 55 year old OG that you did an interview on the internet saying you sold drugs

Fam I was JUST having a conversation with someone the other day about a past associate, that also correlates to this post and Ab's situation...

Starting with this, cats be so hard pressed to impress nobodies (meaning other men, younger dudes, people on social media who you barely know), that they never mature past a certain stage, and you get what you get...

It aint the saying in an interview that he sold drugs that got him wrapped. He was already a felon well before this case, local investigators knew he was a dealer at some point in his life. And I keep telling people that you can talk about your life publicly without fear, but you shouldn't be talking about active things going on (ie actively still slangin, actively still sending hits, etc)...

The former associate I was referencing, will be 33 this year. I've known him for years, since I was around 19 and he was 20, met him in prison in Carolina and we hung out a few times after we both got out (fam got out i believe 16 days before me). We were never aces like we were around each other every day, he had people he ran with and I had mine, but we linked several times over the years, from a bond born in prison...

Last time we spoke to each other was last year just catching up, but last time we were around each other in person was 2016. We were both on our own grind, I know personally he and a homeboy were bring weed outta Denver into NC for a stretch; I can remember when he got a spot raided; I can recall a shootout he got into; a streetfight; he stayed with guns; he did 3 years state in the late '00s (burglary) and did 3 years Feds in the mid '10s (felon with firearm); and he was with me when I robbed and shot a dude in 2010 (he was in my car), he saw me with guns and knew I was bringing shyt out from Sac at one point...

shyt I remember two instances when dude called me up because 1)he got into it with some nikkas at a club and 2)he got into it with some nikkas at a Waffle House; i can't remember why i never made it to the club, I think I was outta town from NC at the time, but I was in town and rode to the Waffle House dolo with whatever I had on me and by the time I got there everybody had scattered, police was there, these muhfukkas had started shooting at each other and I remember laughing with fam later like "damn yall let me miss all the fun"...

I'm saying all that to say this, illustrating the background of a guy who came up "as a product of his environment" as Ab's lawyer argued for his dumbass in court:

My former associate was on Facebook in the last month referring to himself as "Suge Knight", with a bunch of people including younger dudes 10+ years his junior, dapping that abd every post he makes. Like 2 weeks ago he posted a picture of him with the extended hanging out his pocket. This is a 32-year old man who has done both state and fed time flicking up with magazines and using gang terminology online, shyt he can definitely go back to prison for...

At some point, you gotta grow. That shot ain't cute anymore like it was when we were younger. I never knock how brothers eat, but particularly if you're older with a criminal history and still dealing, don't broadcast that, life shoulda taught you better by now. Flicking up with hammers at this stage is weird, because its the first time I've ever seen him in a pic with a gun, but I've been around him with guns in years past, he's old enough to be from an era where you didn't put everything you were doing online, and I knew him so I knew he wasn’t...

This "show all your bread and hammers online" is a product of the Chief Keef/Chi drill era that hit mainstream around '12/'13, cats who were mostly born in 1995 or later. Obviously there were instances before 2012 where people would have contraband on camera but it wasn't widespread and when you saw someone doing it, you generally looked down on it...

So homeboy and Ab are part of older eras who regressed into fitting in with younger heads, and for what? So you can mail yourself back to prison? Ab shoulda had an exit plan as soon as his rap work started growing, which is easier said than done, but something you HAVE to do when you start getting older and having more legitimate successes...

I'm extra passionate about this right now in general, finna include this into a separate thread detailing me getting TWO old warrants from New York absolved today (those warrants would be from 2012 at the latest), and when you look back at experiences and the people you've known along the way, I can't feel sorry for nikkas like Ab. Not at all. These nikkas should know better abd dig their own hole...

And I won't be feeling sorry for homeboy if he goes down again...

What did he really expect would happen? How did he move up to that much weight while being so reckless.
