Arcade 1up - Who has one?

I just bought the Street Fighter 2 Arcade 1up machine from Amazon and will be delivered tomorrow

Still in 2 minds if I should gut it, mod it and put a Raspberry Pi Retropie in it

Does anyone on here have one?

I got the Mortal Kombat joint. Its fun, but I wanna put the Pi mod in there, I just haven't made the time to do it.

They announced Ms PacMan, Marvel vs Capcom, Big Buck Hunter, and Marvel Pinball today. Might get Ms PacMan.

I currently have 5 machines. Space Invaders, Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, Marvel Super Heros, and a pi modded Asteroids. Assuming the rosters aren't butchered, I'm definitely getting NBA Jam.

Was gifted a MK one for Christmas. It looks nice in the game room. Controls are sub par and feel very cheap. No wear near as responsive as they should be. The power switch has been iffy too. A few times a had to flip the switch 2 or 3 times to get it to power on. For $50 - $100 it isn’t bad. It isn’t worth anything more than that.

Added Final Fight (which will eventually be modded to a guitar hero cab), Pac-Man, Golden Tee, and the black series Capcom cocktail table.

Also to the last dude, crt shaders help a lot.

If you have a modded asteroid's couldn't you put other games on that?

I love the idea but the price isn't right imo. They want 3 to 400 for these things. Im certain you can find a better option. Im gonna go check and then I'll report back here. With that said, I need a street fighter 2 cabinet in my life. Possibly a MKII cabinet as well. A dark stalkers joint and a virua fighter 2 to make the cypha complete

I agree.

I believe they are charging premium prices for the fighting game cabinets on purpose because they know those would be the optimal machines to modify because they have 6 buttons and are 2 player.

Yeah, my modded cab has 1,400 arcade games, but now I have a whole arcade. Some games require unique controls too.

And with a little luck, some hunting, and a little trickery, I've only payed full price for one out of the 9.

Does the mod let you map buttons on the fly? That's the one thing I don't understand.
