Nah he absolutely can turn it around if you take away all the hype and the expectation surrounding him just look at him unbiased you see a kid who has talent that needs to be developed. He made some big time throws against a very good defense in a hostile environment on Saturday, some very good throws actually and he’s always had the talent with his legs. I see a kid who if they’re patient with him and let him go through growing pains and he could be as good as he was hyped up to be. The question is can that happen at a school like Texas where the fanbase is delusional and thinks things are supposed to just happen for them.
The Gators should have been a cake walk for Texas. Gators are not good at all this year. But overall Texas is a bust school. The football program is always hyped up and never meets expectations.

Cac Manning looks so lost. I don't know what big time throws you are speaking of, most of his passes were off. I don't think Texas can develop him. He's a bust at this point, he can turn it around but I believe he'd have to leave Texas.

Gators have a very good defense they have given everyone they faced fits this year. Louis reddikk said it during the game the kid was growing infront our eyes. It’s hard to look at Arch with a clear mind because of all the noise that came with him this year but if you just look at him without all that you see a kid was some raw talent that needs to be developed but I agree he does need to leave Texas

This throw was a dime

It’s been 5 games yea the hype was overblown and stupid but the people over exaggerating his struggles are just as bad
Yeah this is the most clickbait thing I’ve seen in a while. The wrote article after article about how great he’s about to be. Has a mediocre 5 games out the gate and they’re ready to throw him to the wolves and call him the worst bust ever. It’s wild.

he isnt the worst qb ever or anything, but considering how big his hype was JUST OFF HIS NAME its understandable that media will lean into that side now

he hasnt shown anything special in terms of skill besides solid mobility and decent arm...to be touted this top level qb and a qb NFL teams will fight over to get....hes barely a mid college qb as of now. can he improve, absolutely. but that hype was completely unwarranted

my question is what did this hype generate from besides his last name and his family history ? I never got it. I remember looking at his tape before this year and not seeing it

his pocket awareness is pretty ass, he struggles to hit layered throws, accuracy is not good past 10 yards, he dirts many balls to receivers, his footwork is ehh, he bails on clean pockets too much and relies on his mobility (which wont work at the next level anyway), his decision making is not great as he throws into double coverage or to receivers who dont have the correct leverage...

and dont get me started on his arm slot action

and its like, what does he actually do WELL to be considered a heisman candidate or a #1 overall NFL draft pick ?

It’s literally just his last name. That’s it. He played at a lower division high school in Louisiana and didn’t even light it up there. He didn’t compete at any camp or Elite Eleven competition because “he wanted to work on his game at the Manning camp.” Didn’t compete at Army or Under Armor AA game.

It was pointed out by some like this Reddit post I found from 3 years ago:

But overall, people overlooked him never actually doing anything special because he has two uncles who were good.

We talked about it in here years back.
