It’s different but I can see why people aren’t enjoying it (I’m with you tho). Archer as a show hasn’t changed it’s style of jokes. It’s all rapid fire dialogue and call backs and when you know the jokes are coming it can become less funny. I’m enjoying it but I’d be lying if I said I found it as funny as I used to. The show is showing its age.

The change is that it used to be an "Office Sitcom" type show in a crazy cartoon universe, but now they're trying to do a parody of a TV snow that NOBODY remembers.

That's kind of how I feel now. After the first episodes I let the rest of the season build up, but over the past three days I got bored and caught up. It's actually more "OK" than I thought at first, but they're nowhere near as good as they were back in the "Archer gets cancer" arc.

After I finished watching Archer on my DVR just now, it switched over to live FX. They're playing "Straight Outta Compton" with the language totally unedited.

within the last year or two...American Crime Story, American Horror Story used the word freely on numerous occassions

I feel like this season is a vast improvement over the last one. The show is actually funny again.

whole series fell off right after they left/ISIS blew up

I'm guessing the "Snow Globe" (St Elsewhere) reference was their way of saying the entire series (not just the past two seasons) was all a VR dream, and that its over.
