VW/Audi falls into this too, but for some reason they have more prestige. Some Audis are the most basic looking cars ever, sands the LED strips on the headlights. And by basic I mean so basic that their models look like those generic cars from GTA games.
The A6 comes to mind. That thing is so bland and generic its sad. It looks like a hot dog on 4 wheels.

FWD is such a killer, the TSX would be good money if it were just RWD.
I'm gonna take a look at them anyway. If I can find a stick shift one.

These cars still come with more features than your average 3-series, so it does have some luxury.

Yeah they are very nice, but just think if they were RWD, they'd be pretty much impossible to beat at that price range.

For my experience with cars and with work, I can honestly say as much as I hate most Japanese cars, Acura is to some extent "luxurious" even tho they're an "uppity" re-badged Honda, they still have features that you would find in most higher class brands.

You can damn sure tell when you go from an Acura to a BMW what the difference is, not only just aesthetically but the whole driving experience. The FWD in most Acura's has been it's Achilles heal for the longest IMO.
And as far as being more expensive than a BMW, then you're just comparing Acura's highest equipped model trims to BMW, Audi's, Mercedes' lowest model trims. I mean comparing a fully equipped Acura TL SH-AWD with Navi etc... to a RWD BMW 328i sedan. it's not in the same league as far as options.

Compare the same Acura TL SH-AWD to a BMW 335i X-Drive with all the same options that are in the TL and you'll see the price difference.
I actually had this convo with my GF yesterday, comparing her TSX leather to my Audi A6 leather interior... it's so much more refined and elegant in the Audi, not to mention as far as everything else...no offense to her, because she's been a BMW lover/driver for years.
Compare cars that aren't in the same class brehs.

yea, some A6's I look at, specifically in that silver color, look so dull I'm like, ":wtf: is Audi trolling us breh???" I think it's the wheels. Not sure but there was a time when I wondered who would honestly buy that shyt, regardless of the driving dynamics. They look *much* better nowadays.

It depends what you want in a car and how you will use it. BMW makes beautiful cars but an entry level 3 series is best for weekend driving. So if that is your thing then go for it and don't look back. However Acura makes cars that are not the best in one category, but instead good in all. If you plan to pimp your car buy the BMW, if you will use it everyday then get the Acura. I was in the same situation and went with the Acura because the interior for the TSX was much more comfortable, and it feels like a four door sports car. The BMW was nice but the leg room was not enough for me and the price was a little too much compared to the deal I received from Acura. Regardless, whatever you choose it will be worth it.
