Are airpods superior in any particular way, or is it just the name brand?

Serious question. Just got offered some a lil while ago for nearly 4x the price I've spent on some cheap jlab's. The jlab's seem just fine for me but i literally don't know what i'm missing. That's what sucks about earpods in general, you can't exactly 'test' them out and if you did...

This is a good deal so i'm considering but i don't wanna drop the money for the same experience

Pods are seamless and convenient. Pros are awful and don’t serve their purpose

airpods are garbage IMO, airpods pro sound garbage but good noise cancelation.

Samsung galaxy bud pro's are way better.

Apple hit it out the park with that beats fit pro

I don’t have them but I heard the beats earphones have they same flawless connectivity with Apple devices for cheaper.

Get Beats, still made by Apple so you get the connectivity but better than AirPods to me

Switching connections without having to disconnect (I googled it )
I'm doing that already with the jlabs. My ears sweat a bit with these tho.

It’s all marketing like the rest of Apple’s products. I’ve said it on The Coli before and I exaggerated, but Five Below $8 headphones do damn near everything AirPods do, minus locate them. I’ve used my wife’s AirPod Pros and was kinda dumbfounded when I heard the music because yes, it was a better overall sound than my cheap-o earbuds but nowhere near $150+ better. Maybe $20 worth better. And I could lose them, put them in the washer, run them over, or whatever 15 times and still not take the hit of some AirPods
