Are American cars really that garbage?

american cars have improved significantly since the collapse of 08, they were forced to consolidate and put out a better product. ford cars particularly were already trending up in the mid 00's. if you're in the honda, toyota, kia, hyundai shopping range, you'd be foolish not to look at fords and select chevy's. people blatantly writing off american cars are either folks stuck on 90's talking points or those in the luxury market. american sedans and suvs are pretty much neck and neck.

Low key Chevy makes some nicer sedans and can be had for dirt cheap.

You can buy a used 2015 impala for under 20k.

No, they have gotten better design wise. just wished they had more reliability like other cars... there's no reason they cannot build a car built to last. but that's how they get you, forcing you to buy parts so they can keep eating...

Yeah I was reading this on another forum. American cars profit on parts/maintenance so they're built to give you problems at 60-80k while Japanese cars are built to keep you happy till 100-120k to protect their name (likely since Americans had blind loyalty).

Yeah I was reading this on another forum. American cars profit on parts/maintenance so they're built to give you problems at 60-80k while Japanese cars are built to keep you happy till 100-120k to protect their name (likely since Americans had blind loyalty).

depends they are better than the 2000's but time will only tell as electronics are more present in cars

Fords been good to a breh. Just traded my 08 fusion for a 15 fusion hybrid. Both run like champs and have no issues

Is there an overall loyalty to American cars? I know/heard Detroit has it but is this true for the Midwest in general?
